FALL WELLNESS RESET

With the start of every new season, I like to do a little check-in. To see how I’m doing, where I’m at, and where I want to be going. Just like how you’d clean out and reorganize your closet from summer to fall, I like to do the same thing with my life.

So here’s a little wellness “clean out” as you transition into fall. It takes on a lot of influences from Ayurveda (ancient Indian medicine, which I’ve been studying and am obsessed with). It’s incredibly detoxifying, and will help you find your center after the craziness of summer.

You can do this detox for a few days, a few weeks, a few months. Whatever feels right for you.

Diet:
Eat 3 warm, nourishing meals
Keep dinner light and easy to digest: Soups are great. Or a yummy stew/curry over rice
Eat mindfully—no tv, phone, electronics
No snacking
No processed foods

Morning Routine
-3 deep breaths and express gratitude upon waking
-drink hot water with lemon & apple cider vinegar
-5 senses purification*
-meditation & pranayama*
-move your body
-breakfast

*5 senses purification
Hear: play relaxing or uplifting music
See: splash eyes with cold water 3-6 times
Smell: neti pot to clear the sinuses & apply nasya oil
Taste: brush teeth, scrape tongue, oil pull
Feel: stretch, roll your neck and shoulders, wake up your body

*pranayama:
Yogic breathing techniques. See some of my favorites here

Night Routine
-turn technology off 1 hour before bed
-light candles or aromatherapy
dry brush your body for exfoliation and detoxifying the lymph nodes
-take a bath or warm shower
-apply body with oil with long strokes for a self-massage
-journal

    Great to share. Jeans and leather jackets look great. I bought jeans on Selerit.com but didn’t find a leather jacket. Can anyone tell me where this leather jacket should be obtained?
