I’ll be honest. Home décor has never really been my area of expertise. When it comes to apartment hunting in New York City I look for two things: good light and a good location. And once I find that bright, sunny studio in the heart of TriBeCa….well…I don’t really do much with it.
With the mentality that I’ll be in one year, and out the next, my apartments tend to look more like minimalist dorm rooms than a Fashion Blogger’s oasis.
But as life in NYC is settling down, and my boyfriend and I are looking to move in together *shriek *, it’s time to spruce up the space I live in. So I started with….a chandelier!
It’s a bit extra, I know. But as I was scrolling through the options at Corbett Lighting, I realized that putting together a room is not so different than putting together an outfit. I’ll start with a statement piece (hence chandelier). And accessorize around it. A leather sofa here, a minimalist painting there—and next thing you know you’ve got yourself an outfit! I mean, apartment!
This piece is from Corbett Lighting. They’ve got a whole range of pieces from ceiling chandeliers to small wall fixtures. So if you want to spruce up your space–why not try installing some new lights!
