While the flip of a calendar doesn’t really have anything to do with changes and resolutions, it’s an undeniably beautiful thing that once a year we all take a moment to reflect. Reflect on our accomplishments, our failures, and on the changes we can make to be the best version of ourselves.
My resolution this year is to make time.
Make time for books.
Make time for museums.
Make time for creativity.
Make time for others.
Make time for myself.
In a world so jam-packed and overrun (and even more so in New York City) the mantra seems to always be “I don’t have time.” I don’t have time to do my hair every morning. Or cook a healthy dinner. I don’t have time to read books. Or start writing again. I don’t have time to see this person. Or that person. And if I do, they’re only getting an hour.
My goal is to cut out the excess and the unnecessary in order to live a slow life in a fast city.
What are your resolutions?
