Hello from Tokyo! I just got back from Japan (my first time and a bucket list destination of mine), and I’m returning just as jetlagged as I am inspired.
As a newly appointed brand ambassador for the Japanese line Snidel, I was sent over to Tokyo to check out the new collection and bring back some of my favorite pieces. (Which ended up being half the collection, oops!)
Speaking honestly, Snidel is a brand that you need to check out. And I’m not getting paid to say that, it’s actually amazing. Think oversized chunky knits, cute matching sets, and leather corsets layered over bohemian floral dresses. Its everyday attire with a Japanese edge–the kind of clothes you can run errands in and still look chic as fu*k. They’ll be opening up a store in the states soon, so keep an eye out. But in the meantime you can shop it online.
But man…Tokyo is something else. From the out-of-this-world street style to the graceful humility of the people who live there, I came back to the U.S. inspired to step my game up.
A separate post to come on where I stayed, what I did, and where I ate. So stay tuned!
