My new year’s resolution was to visit a new country every season, and so far we’re off to a good start! With a recent trip to Costa Rica and an upcoming flight to Tokyo, this may be the first resolution I’ve stuck with!
Our trip began at Casa Chemeleon in Las Catalinas, and it was the perfect way to start the trip. A high-end resort town with a laid-back luxury vibe, we spent the first few days relaxing by the infinity pool and lounging in our epic hotel rooms.
We hopped in the car, and cruised through the jungle down to Nosara—a cute surf town with yogic sensibilities. We stayed at Olas Verdes, where we did yoga in the jungle by morning and surf lessons by afternoon. The food in the resort was amazing, which was much needed after a long day of surfing. (Ok so I actually only made it through two waves before I called it quits…but still hungry nonetheless)
I fell in love with Santa Teresa. A charming surf town with colorful streets, unpaved roads, untouched beaches, and hot guys on ATV’s. We stayed at Casa Chameleon yet again, however this hotel had more of a boutique feel.
All in all, Costa Rica is one of my favorite places I’ve visited. The whole country is eco friendly, healthy, happy, and embodies “Pura Vida.” The Costa Rican motto, meaning Pure Life.
