DAMAGE CONTROL
It’s always been a fight with my skin. I can go months with great skin, and out of nowhere acne attacks like an army from the trenches. With endless options, temporary quick fixes, and marketing gimmicks, it’s hard to tell what actually works. This month I’ll be sharing some of my favorite skincare products that actually deliver. First up: Caolion’s Perfect Pores Kit.
It seems that all the best products hail from Korea, and Caolion is no different. Personally, I use this pack when my skin needs some serious TLC. It delivers results without the harsh side effects of many products I find in American drugstores. I got this kit from Peach & Lily (they sell all the best Korean and Japanese beauty products). It’s a pack of three products sold in a special price set with a free cleanser.
Step 1: Freshly Chitosan Foam Cleanser
Start off with clean skin. This cleanser is super foaming, but doesn’t strip the skin of natural oils. It left my face feeling refreshed but not dry.
Step 2: Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore
This mask acts like a vacuum to your pores. It’s a self-heating wash-off mask, and you can feel it working on your face. It’s made with sparkling water and charcoal, so you get these micro oxygen bubbles that tingle on your face. It’s like you can feel it sucking out all the impurities.
Step 3: Pore Original
Made with Alaskan glacial water, menthol, and clay– This mask has a cooling effect as it shrinks down your pores. It also helped me with soothing any inflammation or redness.
Step 4: Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask
Put this one before bed, and wake up with brightened, tightened skin.
The Results?
I did the whole 4-step process 3x a week, and used the cleanser and sleeping mask every day. After two weeks I noticed less acne and blackheads, and my red marks had faded. It’s the perfect routine for when you’re having a “flare up.”
