After a short 3 hour flight and a 45 minute bumpy cab ride, we arrived in Punta de Mita, Mexico–A small town about an hour from the popular Puerto Vallarta.
We stayed at the Four Seasons, which was stunning. The beach was gorgeous, staff so nice, and served some of the freshest seafood I’ve had. When visiting “tropical” destinations, I prefer staying somewhere more local and quiet, and then spending a day in the major city. When we went to the city of Puerto Vallarta, all I saw were streets lined with souvenir shops and Americanized Mexican restaurants.
The town of Punta de Mita, however, is charming and small with a few amazing local eats. The main goal of this trip though was a relaxing escape, and the Four Seasons is exactly that. With fresh coconuts on the white sand, dangerously good margaritas, and an amazing spa, you almost never want to leave.
